Analyse URBANISATION L’Afrique est le continent le moins urbanisé de notre planète, l’urbanisation est un phénomène essentiellement récent en Afrique. Les villes précoloniales Il s’agit des villes construites avant la colonisation : En Afrique du nord : Tunis, Algérie, Carthage, Fez En Afrique occidentale : Kano, Ibadan, Gao, Tombouctou, Djenne En Afrique orientale : Zanzibar, Mombassa et Dar es Salam. Les villes coloniales Les villes maritimes ou fluviales : ce sont des ports, anciens comptoirs de marchands européens. Ex. : Abidjan, Lomé, Fritown, Dakar, Le Cap, Matadi Les villes minières : Lubumbashi, Ndola, Johannesburg, Les villes de transit : Wagadougou, Lusaka, Bulawayo, Nairobi, ce sont des principaux nœuds routiers ou des voies ferrées. Les villes lacustres : Bukavu, Goma, Kalemie. Les villes africaines grandissent rapidement avec des bidonvilles et ségrégation dans l’habitat. Elles sont des villes étendues ou horizontales avec des quartiers contrastes (quartiers pauvres et quartiers de luxe) sont dans l’ensemble des problèmes graves de dégradation de l’environnement. Les villes les plus peuplées sont le Caire plus de quelques millions d’habitants, Lagos, Kinshasa, Alexandrie, Casablanca, Johannesburg Economie Agriculture L’agriculture africaine a un caractère dualiste. Elle se caractérise par la coexistence du secteur traditionnel et du secteur moderne. Elle occupe plus de 75% de la population active.
