Analyse Importance des voies de communication et de transport Dans le cadre du développement intégral, le transport apparait comme le moteur qui permet : Une mise en valeur de multiples ressources naturelles et humaines ; Une division régionale du travail ; Une libre circulation des biens et des personnes, source de progrès économique et social Types de transport On distingue : Le réseau routier Avec environ 160.000 km de route, le réseau se trouve être le plus long d’Afrique, plus au moins 6.500 Km seulement de route sont asphaltés. Ce réseau est dans un état de délabrement total, ce qui défavorise les échanges entre le centre de production agricoles et les villes, la dégradation de ces routes est le résultat de plusieurs facteurs : érosions pluviales, vieillissement des infrastructures, surcharge des nombreux véhicules de transport, le non-respect de normes requises dans la construction de route. L’entretien de ces routes est confié à l’Office de Route (OR) et OVD et le FONER. Le réseau ferroviaire Deux objectifs de leurs constructions : Contourner les obstacles naturels qui handicapent la navigation et joindre deux biefs navigables ; Désenclaver les grandes régions productives isolées et le relier au réseau fluvial pour leur évacuation. Le réseau ferré, long d’environ 5.254 km n’a que 865 km électrifié sur la ligne Kamina-Lubumbashi. Ce réseau classe la RDC à la troisième position en Afrique après la RSA (24.431 km) et le Soudan (5.5126 km) Les principaux axes : L’axe Est : de Lubumbashi – Kalemie – Kigoma jusqu’à Dar-es-Salam (Tanzanie) L’axe Sud : allant de Lubumbashi – Sakania – Bunia (Mozambique) L’axe Ouest : Lubumbashi – Dilolo – Lobito en Angola L’axe national : Sakania – Lubumbashi – Muene Ditu – Kananga jusqu’à ILEBO.
